August Update

The foundation was able to purchase and deliver drone equipment to Queen Anne's County High School this month! Aerospace students will now have the opportunity to build their own drone, learn to fly it, and hopefully gain their drone piloting license. An after school program was also created with this equipment to give the High School students experience in flying drones!

The first annual Kent Island Charity Softball League was had their first games this month! We are so proud to partner with other local charities to make this opportunity available for our community, while also supporting each charity's amazing mission. We can't wait to see this grow in the future!

On August 20th our foundation was a Kent Island Day sponsor at the Bowie Baysox. With our sponsorship we were able to offer 250 FREE tickets to our community! Foundation Director, Colleen Williams, threw the first pitch and was able to spread the word about the foundations mission and future goals. It was an amazing day for all that attended and it was great seeing so many neighbors and friends.

We collaborated with Character Counts QAC to create these magnets. Hopefully everyone sees these magnets all over the county in the very near future - because CHARACTER DOES COUNT!

Tons of preparation this month for our Leadership Cohort Program at Kent Island High School. We are so proud of this program and the opportunities it provides students with the chance to grow as leaders and learn how to serve their community. We can't wait for this program to start in September!
