The Win the Day award is presented to someone who's passion drives them to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Never backing down from a challenge, they use their "Win The Day" mentality to make a change!


About our Win The Day Award recipient

Danielle Lowe

Ms. Lowe, as she is lovingly known by her students at Kent Island Elementary School, is a true stand out in our community. The positive impact she continues to make on a day-to-day level is truly unsurpassed. She is receiving this award because of her dedication and commitment to answering daily challenges to ensure that the youngest members of our community have smiles on their faces. Her passion for helping those around her and spreading positivity makes her a wonderful teacher who the youth in our community have grown to love. Whether she is volunteering at the high school snack shack, welcoming her students at drop-off with the biggest smile and wave, or simply checking on a student who needs an extra hug that day, she does it with so much love and heart. She has a natural ‘Win The Day’ mentality and our community is brighter because of it. It is our honor to recognize Danielle Lowe as this year’s recipient of the Win The Day award!




Community Neighbor award

The Community Neighbor award is presented to someone who goes out of their way to help another, make connections, and to give back in any way possible. They are the neighbor with the biggest heart who makes a community feel like a family!


About our Community Neighbor Award recipient

Warren Wright

Mr. Wright is being recognized as this year’s recipient of The Community Neighbor award for his tireless work in and through the Drug Free Coalition of Queen Anne’s County. His passion for making a difference in the education and prevention of substance abuse continues to move us. Mr. Wright holds regular meetings addressing statistic-based evidence of problems that are happening in our communities with thought and care as to how these issues can be addressed. His profound energy and stamina for this work has been nothing short of inspiring and as a result of his hard work, we face fewer hardships, hands down! It is our honor and privilege to recognize Mr. Warren Wright as this year’s recipient of the Community Neighbor Award!
