In honor of back to school season, let's take a look back at what we accomplished during the 2021-2022 school year!
Win The Day Positive Behavior Incentive Program grew from just 1 school to 5 schools in Queen Anne's County!
We assisted 4 schools' field days by facilitating 24 activities for over 2,300 students!
Giving the Edge Foundation teamed up with Not My Child QAC 2.0 to create a field day shirt for students and staff to wear with a message of hope, positivity, and community. In total, 1,800 shirtswere delivered to 3 schools.
Players from Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department, Grasonville Volunteer Fire Department, and Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office came together for a game of kickball in our semi-annual Heroes Kickball Tournament.
We incorporated drug prevention messages into The Edge's youth classes, thanks to QAC Dept. of Health Alcohol & Drug Abuse Services.
Giving The Edge Foundation piloted a Leadership Program at KIHS, drawing around 45 student attendees each week.
We expanded upon our community partnerships in order to create more opportunities for local kids & teens!
We supported Partnering For Youth in after school programing for 3 schools in QAC and created a curriculum for a 4 week program.
All of the above was possible thanks to donations from local people & businesses and the help of volunteers.
